Following the Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s announcement this week of a VAT aid to five% for companies within the hospitality and tourism industries, it has transpired that merchandising corporations aren’t integrated at this level.
The Automatic Vending Association’s club services and products supervisor Steve Collins mentioned after contacting HMRC concerning the VAT aid to five%, they recommended the next:
“The full list of who it effects is not complete yet but at the moment vending is not on the current list. Full guidance on the reduction will be on the HMRC website later today or tomorrow morning – listed as a Revenue & Customs Brief.”
